A Big Part of My Life!

This is my man!
He is not grumpy or angry.
He is squinting into the sun!

Every day he does something for me and our kids.
Every day he gives a piece of himself to us.

He is a sweet, wonderful and caring man. I am sure I am one of the few people who see that side of him. As wonderful as he is, he pushes me to do things I would not have tried before. Such as, a charcoal drawing of a car.
This is the first car I have ever drawn and it was completely from my memory of a car my man once raced. It was not his fastest car but he still enjoyed it just as much as any of the others he has owned.

I must have done alright because my oldest son saw it and said, "Mom, that looks like the Cutlass." I was so proud that a drawing from my memory, of a car I have not seen in years, turned out well enough for someone to recognize!

I have been inspired by so many in my house who enjoy cars so much!
There will be more drawings of cars to come.

A new look.

I did this charcoal of myself for a way of fun and practice. It was in the afternoon on a Saturday during a garage sale. I kept myself busy during the times when no one came. During the times when people did come, and catch a glimpse, I was well complimented for my work in progress.
Once I finished this drawing I was not sure I liked it. The more I looked at it I grew to like it and now I prefer it over several other charcoals I have done.
This charcoal was rewarding as it showed me to myself in a new way. A new look.
